I had to go in to work to get something done on the holiday, but took my time about it, riding in at 11am. Just about to pass under the freeway, I pulled over as I saw a hawk land on fence. I walked my bike and got right up close; this hawk didn't move from this spot for quite some time. I see hawks near this freeway crossing frequently, though never so close. They are usually in the air when I see them. I wonder if it's because the freeway noise distracts the prey?
