Forest Road 11 deep in the Oregon forest led us to a sweet home camp, all the wildflowers we could meet, sweeping views of Mount Jefferson and a cosmic extravaganza. We took William Sullivan's "100 Hikes in the Central Oregon Cascades" with us and its few pages of wildflower ID were so fun. We found almost everyone that was listed. We also took "Field Guide to Animal Tracks and Scat of California" and found bear grass scat. Then it got dark at 11am. Total Eclipse Baby!
