EQUINOX BENCHMARKING

It rained earlier this week. It was real rain, things got wet and watered and it included a rainbow in the east (a double rainbow even)!

Today we went to the river for lunch and had an equinox bonfire in the evening at home. As we were preparing the fire a hawk flew over, sometime later a large group of Sandhill Cranes flew over. Even with binoculars I could barely see them, they were so high up!

Our garden has a couple of butternut squash and at least one pumpkin!

We made tallow-based chocolate chip equinox cookies this morning. They....were not good. (I'm temporarily off the dairy). I don't think it was because of the tallow, but we'll do some more experiments!
