WHAT'S BLOOMIN'
Our Manzanita tree bloomed so prolifically in February. The blooms are edible and I love to top February birthday cakes with them.
We passed by juicy nettles and milky milk thistle on the bike trail in February.
Right now periwinkle pinwheels, tiny and stunning scarlet pimpernel are worth getting down on the ground for a close look At their impossibly saturated almost iridescent colors.
Rich pink nectarine blossoms surround a perfectly round hole in the thin trunk. We saw an Oak titmouse hanging about that hole. Our bird book confirmed that oak titmice do you nest in tree cavities. What a lovely place to hatch!
Then we found fuzzy pink flowers on what looks like a eucalyptus tree mid-march. But do they flower like this?
